Makenna

Can I just tell you how much I love my little girl! She has been such a good baby. She is happy, eats good, and sleeps REALLY good! Every once in a while she has some stomach aches and can be a grouch, but those moments are few and far between. She really is a good baby. We truly have been spoiled! She is starting to show us more of her cute personality. She smiles and giggles lots! She is a little talker. She doesn't like to be left out of the conversation. She is growing so fast! She likes to sit up and see what is going on all around. No more cuddling for this baby, she is a big girl (at least that is what she thinks.) We love her so much. I've truly loved being a mom! I just hope our future children are as good as her!

4 Generations

My very talented mother made her dress and her shoes!

So for the first 2 months of Makenna's life she wouldn't sleep in her bassinet and she would only sleep in this bouncer chair. We spoiled her and we would put the chair on the bed in between me and Jeff.( I had a broken tailbone and it was painful to get in and out of bed to get her to feed her, this was easier for me.) We were so afraid that we started a terrible habit and we were never going to be able to transition her into the bassinet and then into the crib. Well one night she wouldn't sleep and she would scream when I put her into the chair. It was a very long night. After fighting her for about 2 hours I decided to just bring the bassinet back into our room and try that. I laid her down and she went right to sleep. We haven't had a problem since. This girl knows what she wants. 

This is how the cool kids swing. One leg over the edge. I try to fix her leg and she puts it right back. Funny girl!

Meet Makenna Jane

We love this girl SO much!!! She has brought so much happiness into our home. She is such a good baby! She is happy most of the time. She sleeps really good. She is long but very petite she is still wearing newborn clothes. She loves to cuddle. She is just so cute and we are so happy to have her in our family!

Happy New Year!

We are very excited and a little nervous about this New Year! This year holds a very BIG adventure for us. We are so excited and happy to welcome a little baby girl to our family, but we can't believe that we will be parents! Ahhh... We wouldn't change it for anything though! We have been so blessed this past year and are so excited to see what this year holds for us! Happy New Year! 

Merry Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas. It is our last Christmas just Jeff and I. We are VERY excited to have a baby next year. I felt like a little kid Christmas morning. This year I had no idea what Jeff got me. Usually I pick out my presents. He was very thoughtful in his gifts and I love them.  He got me a gift card to Motherhood Maternity and some of my favorite pregnancy foods. He knows me well! The last gift he gave me was more of a gift for baby, but i love it. He picked out a shirt for our baby girl that says "I love mommy!" Isn't he thoughtful!?  Jeff's presents were pretty boring he got movies and clothes, but that is what he wanted/needed.    We are so lucky that both of our families live so close. We were able to spend half the day with Jeff's family and the other half of the day with my family! We played  a lot of games on Christmas. We love this time of year!

We are having a BABY!

 It has taken a long time to get to this point. We had been trying to get pregnant for 18 months. About 8 months ago I switched doctors and went to an infertility specialist. We love our doctor! He was able to find a couple of reasons why I wasn't getting pregnant. We went and saw him on a regular basis and he always gave us lots of hope. In July I had surgery to clean out any endometriosis that I might have. In August I went to the doctors and left a little disappointed because even after the surgery it was looking like my body still wasn't working right. My doctor then set up an appointment in September to go over some fertility treatment options and to start one. I was really worried about all the treatments he had mentioned. As our appointment was getting closer I still hadn't had a period. This is pretty normal for me so I didn't think anything about it. My doctor told me to take a pregnancy test before I came in just in case. I took the first test and didn't even look at it I figured it was negative. After the 3 min I decided I should probably go look at it and it was POSITIVE! I couldn't believe it so I took another one and that one was also positive. I was so surprised!!! When Jeff got home from work he was also surprised and of course so happy!

We feel so blessed! Our prayers were answered in the best way! We are so happy and so excited. My doctor really is the best and he was very excited for us. At our first appointment we were able to hear the heart beat. It was amazing!Our baby is due on May 25, a day before Jeff's birthday.

Vacation!

I'm still playing catch up with my blog. Back in August we took a trip to St. George with Jeff's family. It was lots of fun. We went to the Tuacahn theater to see Aladdin.  I love the Tuacahn. The scenery is breath taking and they do an amazing job with their musicals. They had live camels on stage! They even had a magic carpet that went over the audience. It's awesome!

We also went to a Dinosaur museum that was in St. George. Jeff was very excited to go to the museum. We saw lots of cool Dinosaur foot prints and skeletons.

One of the days we decided to drive to Las Vegas. We went to M&M factory and the Coke factory. These are my favorite places to go in Vegas. I think everything else is scary! ;) For lunch we went to Rain Forest Cafe. The scenery at Rain Forest is awesome but the food isn't that great. We also caught a fountain show at the Bellagio. That was cool to watch. Jeff and I have never gambled before so we decided to try our luck at the slot machines. We had been saving $4 just for gambling. We each got to gamble $2. Jeff didn't win anything and I won $6 but then my brother in law Bryce decided to gamble the $6 dollars for me. He lost the $6! It was a fun experience but I don't think I will ever do it again.
