Update

Where has the time gone!? I keep telling myself I will do better at blogging but I post once and forget about it for 6 months. Oh well. Hopefully my next post will be sooner than later. Here is a quick update of all of us.

Jeff has been working full time and going to school full time. Needless to say, he is BUSY!! There is some days that I don't even see him. It is crazy. Luckily, he is not going to school in the summer so we will see him a little more. I'm SO incredibly thankful for all that he does for our little family. He is such a hard worker and never complains. 

I was working, but in January I took a leap of faith and quit my job to stay home with Makenna. It was one of the best decisions we have ever made. We have had to sacrifice some things and at times it has been hard, but we have been so so so blessed. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. 

Makenna is growing so fast! She turns ONE next month! That's right, ONE! Where did my baby go!? She is so fun. She has a cute personality and is always making us laugh. She is very shy around other people but when she is home she is a nut. She loves to play with toys, Minnie Mouse is her favorite. She LOVES animals. She thinks the zoo is awesome. She adores her dad and cries every time he leaves. She is so fun!

Family Pictures!

The Atkinson family decided to do family pictures before Jeff's nephew Landon left for his mission. They asked my sister Jamie to do them. She did a wonderful job! I love all of them so much. I love fall and love the beauty of fall so I was excited when we found a fun spot in Farmington to take the pictures. Also it is so fun to have a family of my own to take family pictures of!

My Little Penguin!

Those of you who know Jeff, know that he loves penguins! We have lots on penguin things in our house. In fact all of our Christmas decorations are penguins. Anyways, while I was pregnant I was on pinterest and came across a tutorial on how to make a penguin costume. I showed Jeff and he about died. We HAD to have Makenna be a penguin for Halloween. The tutorial (Here) was way easy to follow and it turned out so cute!!

Makenna

Can I just tell you how much I love my little girl! She has been such a good baby. She is happy, eats good, and sleeps REALLY good! Every once in a while she has some stomach aches and can be a grouch, but those moments are few and far between. She really is a good baby. We truly have been spoiled! She is starting to show us more of her cute personality. She smiles and giggles lots! She is a little talker. She doesn't like to be left out of the conversation. She is growing so fast! She likes to sit up and see what is going on all around. No more cuddling for this baby, she is a big girl (at least that is what she thinks.) We love her so much. I've truly loved being a mom! I just hope our future children are as good as her!

4 Generations

My very talented mother made her dress and her shoes!

So for the first 2 months of Makenna's life she wouldn't sleep in her bassinet and she would only sleep in this bouncer chair. We spoiled her and we would put the chair on the bed in between me and Jeff.( I had a broken tailbone and it was painful to get in and out of bed to get her to feed her, this was easier for me.) We were so afraid that we started a terrible habit and we were never going to be able to transition her into the bassinet and then into the crib. Well one night she wouldn't sleep and she would scream when I put her into the chair. It was a very long night. After fighting her for about 2 hours I decided to just bring the bassinet back into our room and try that. I laid her down and she went right to sleep. We haven't had a problem since. This girl knows what she wants. 

This is how the cool kids swing. One leg over the edge. I try to fix her leg and she puts it right back. Funny girl!

Meet Makenna Jane

We love this girl SO much!!! She has brought so much happiness into our home. She is such a good baby! She is happy most of the time. She sleeps really good. She is long but very petite she is still wearing newborn clothes. She loves to cuddle. She is just so cute and we are so happy to have her in our family!

Happy New Year!

We are very excited and a little nervous about this New Year! This year holds a very BIG adventure for us. We are so excited and happy to welcome a little baby girl to our family, but we can't believe that we will be parents! Ahhh... We wouldn't change it for anything though! We have been so blessed this past year and are so excited to see what this year holds for us! Happy New Year!
